Education:

St. James Catholic School, Millstadt, Il.

The mission of St. James Catholic School, owned and operated by St. James Parish, is to provide an educational program (K-8) based on Gospel values which strives to meet  spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, moral and emotional needs of our students. The staff and students strive to continually learn and live the message of Jesus, to build community and to be of service to others.  Our program promotes a sense of belonging, strong self- image, a high appreciation of family values and respect for all creation. We provide a compassionate environment where adults and students feel accepted and are treated equally and at the same time uniquely. Our academic program challenges our students to work to the best of their ability. Aware of the influence of technology on our students' lives, our curriculum teaches the technical skills as well as moral values needed to deal with this influence. Aware of the global nature of our society, we teach respect for all races and nationalities, locally and globally, and reach out to those less fortunate than ourselves.  Founded in 1850 by St. James Parish, we continue the tradition of working together to pass on our Catholic faith. We depend on the support of parents and the parish community. We commit our service to the students and families of this parish, the community of Millstadt and the surrounding area.
